I just got back from the doc with the bad news... depending on the severity after an MRI, I may or may not be racing anymore this fall. Fingers crossed for a minor break that will only sideline me a few short weeks...
A bit of good news today: It's not as severe as originally thought. 2-4 weeks and I should be almost as good as new. The Bear Chase is going to be a coin toss at this point...
Stress reaction... whatever that is. Hurts but it's been manageable since the day of the x-ray. Staying off of it except to run a few miles here and there.
Just read your article in Trail Runner. Man, you are amazing and inspiring. My sister Sharlie has CF and is currently at Stanford awaiting a double lung and heart transplant. I'm passing your blog on to her. I hope I'm able to share a trail with you soon.
